A shift occurred. A change happened! The April 2024 edition of the GCK crusade in Abia State—the commercial epicenter of the eastern part of Nigeria—delivered a tremendous experience.
Before the crusade commenced, our medical team, comprising doctors, nurses, dentists, lab technicians, and counselors, spent a few days visiting nearby communities to deliver holistic healthcare, spiritual guidance, and compassionate support to the underserved communities of Aba. This effort extended to the ABA Medium Correctional Centre, where our team successfully provided medical assistance and shared messages of hope with over 400 male and female inmates.
The community events also featured a maternal outreach, during which we gathered dozens of pregnant and nursing mothers, educated them on maternal and child health, and blessed them with gifts.
Each night of the six-day crusade, the Aba Mega Mall was filled. Looking over the sea of heads across the arena, it was evident that the people of ‘God’s own state’ had gathered with hearts full of expectation to experience God’s wonders. And nobody left disappointed!
Several of Abia state’s governmental officers graced the opening session. This included the governor’s Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, Ph.D., who highlighted the crusade’s significance as a spiritual symbol of a new visitation and spiritual sanitation heralded by the physical cleaning of the state—an emergency measure implemented by the governor upon taking office.
We experienced an atmospheric shift of supernatural wonders that the rain could not defy. Yes, as the heavens poured out rain, God released an outpouring of blessings—healing, salvation, and deliverance. Across the field, one could hear the chorus of voices ascending to heaven’s courts in worship and prayers, stirring God’s hands to move in miraculous wonders among the people.
Dr. Kumuyi, with a heart for the people and a burning desire for souls, preached the word with such power and authority that demons, sickness, and all afflictions had no choice but to flee at the name of Jesus! Each night, after the man of God prayed, souls were saved, diverse sicknesses were healed, and joy permeated the land.
The governor visited the crusade on the final night. Dr. Alex Otti, the 5th democratically elected Governor of Abia State, delivered inspiring remarks about the impact of the crusade and appreciated the people for attending in large numbers.
It’s worth highlighting the exclusive conference with Dr. Kumuyi for Christian ministers and professionals where they were equipped with the necessary tools for transformation. Additionally, the Impact Academy with Dr. Kumuyi for high schoolers and college students featured workshops and engaging seminars for young, budding champions, challenging them to shine as bright stars in their endeavors and spheres of influence.
Indeed, it was a season of glorious transformation for all.
